What is love, if not empathy? And how do love and empathy manifest themselves when they are more than merely claimed? In «The End of our Love», Juli Sando (she/they) explores these questions filmically across ten chapters. Beyond abstraction or any claim to definition, she explores possible answers regarding familiy and a way of being together that seeks to free itself from romanticized and idealized images. Without many words—at least no spoken ones—her work, which she stages as an installation at Jungkunst, places three figures at its center, who respond to one another in a subtle interplay with the camera.
